Every year, more and more kids are getting injured playing the sports they love, with medical statistics reporting that 40 percent of all pediatric injuries are now sports related. That translates to 4.4 million sports related injuries for youth athletes each year, with the injury rate for girls and boys close to equal. We can and must slow this trend.
