Congratulations, Class of 2020

The graduating class of 2020 is special for several reasons. As most of you are well aware, this class had to miss proms, graduations, and other senior year events due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For the student athletes of 2020, many also had their last year of high school sports competition taken from them. So many high school seniors look forward to their farewell run with their teammates and their last opportunity at competition before heading off to college. They were denied this rite of passage but still worked out, studied, and behaved as the young adults that impress all the rest of us.

Few of you may know that athletes in this 2020 class were high school freshmen when I was first introduced to the Bullis School’s track team and their extraordinary coaching staff led by Coach Joe Lee. Coach Lee runs an amazing program and I am honored to have worked with this group of high-level young athletes. I look forward to continuing my role as the unofficial “team chiropractor” for future graduating classes.

The third reason for making sure that we don’t overlook the accomplishments of this year’s graduating class is personal to me. My daughter Laila is part of this 2020 class. I still have a photo of her on my desk of when she was 1 year old, and soon she will be heading off to college. Don’t let anyone tell you that time doesn’t fly! She grew up in a blink of an eye.

So please indulge me this month and take a few minutes to look through this unique and special group of student athletes that are our Class of 2020!
